Major Revision Starting in January

Starting the first of January, I will be relaunching my blog for the entirety of 2022.  Twice a week I will be releasing a short article on a series of aspects of warrantless search and seizure (100 total).  The project will parallel the format by which I teach on the 4th Amendment.  If a law enforcement officer or prosecutor follows along, at the end of the year, he or she should have a very firm grasp of warrantless search and seizure.  To give you all an idea, here is a portion of the outline which covers several of the scheduled blogs:

J.    Fellow Officer Rule

K.   Exigency

a.    The Serious Crime Aspect of Exigency

b.   Emergency Doctrine

c.    Community Caretaking Doctrine

d.   Exigent Circumstances to Arrest

L.    Vehicles

a.    The Vehicle Exception

b.   Directing Occupants and Passengers from Vehicles

c.    Tracking Devices

M.  Carpenter (Cell Tower Information)

N.   Abandonment

Hope you all will follow along as we work to advance law enforcement. This will be a master class in legal training for officers and prosecutors.
